Kaiser FC is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities.
We believe that the archive, our products and the stories we publish should be available to everyone, regardless of how they access the web.
Standards We Follow
Kaiser FC aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive and motor impairments.
We also consider Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) when developing the site.
Accessibility Features
The following features have been implemented to support an accessible reading and shopping experience:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper headings, landmarks and ARIA labels
- Keyboard navigation support throughout the site
- Sufficient text contrast on body content, navigation and editorial articles
- Descriptive alt text on archive imagery and product photography
- Responsive design that adapts to mobile, tablet and desktop viewports
- Respect for the user’s
prefers-reduced-motionsetting — animations are minimised or disabled when requested - Clear focus states on interactive elements
- Logical reading order in long-form archive articles
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is not a one-time effort. Kaiser FC reviews and improves the website continuously as new archives are published and as the technical landscape evolves.
Some content created before our current accessibility standards may not yet meet WCAG 2.1 AA in every detail. We are progressively updating older content as part of our normal editorial work.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, certain limitations may exist:
- Some embedded third-party content (payment widgets, social media embeds) may not fully conform to WCAG standards, as these are provided by external services we do not control
- Some archival or historical imagery may rely on visual context that is difficult to convey through alt text alone — in those cases we aim to enrich the surrounding editorial text with descriptive context
